I saw an ad for this Swedish e-tailer on a site about modern design, so I clicked on the link...
Meet Pee&Poo, "the unconventional cuddly toys" for kids created by Swedish designer Emma Megitt.
"We are Pee&Poo. Escapees from the bathroom, we are entering the world on a journey filled with adventures. Maybe we can stay with you for awhile?"
I was going to insert some sarcastic jokes here, but I don't even think that's necessary. When my son was a pre-schooler, he loved his little stuffed animals. He'd sleep with them, carry them everywhere he went, sometimes chew on them...The last thing I'd want to see is my child chewing on a stuffed turd. My son's favorite little stuffed toys were Blue Bear and Red Bear, and they were cute. So I would be a little disturbed to find him affectionately hugging Pee&Poo, because I don't think any child needs to be THAT close and personal with his bodily functions.
They also have keychains, babies' tees & undies, and temporary tattoos (under Products Tab). If you're a really big Pee&Poo fan, you can download free desktop wallpaper from the site (under Bits & Pieces).

Here's an article from FutureDesignDays.com:
FutureDesignDays EXPO, the big breakthrough for a young designer
Emma Megitt’s exhibition at FutureDesignDays succeeded beyond her wildest dreams. As a newly graduated designer, she grabbed the opportunity of making an immediate impact. And what an impression she made! If ever the word success was appropriate, it was here. Now everyone wants Pee & Poo on their sofas.
When Emma Megitt took the floor at FutureDesignDays EXPO 2004 with her cuddly toys Pee & Poo, they had barely been seen by the public previously. The response was immediate and tremendous. The first delivery of her cuddly toys, which landed in Sweden shortly after the festival, was sold out almost before it even reached the shops.
Pee & Poo at EXPO were not just a success saleswise. Another dimension that was much appreciated by Emma Megitt was the fact that FutureDesignDays was a very good platform for meeting people – the media, customers and potential customers. Getting a response and direct views on the products, while being able to answer questions and enquiries were other important ingredients, particularly with a product that awakened such disparate feelings.
The publicity Emma received both during and after the event more than proves that FutureDesignDays is an awareness creating venue that can definitely help debutants to make a name for themselves.
If you're like me, right now you're probably thinking, "WTF?" If this is the future of design, please PLEASE keep it confined to Sweden.
