My husband came here to Philly for a job interview and I tagged along.
We're staying at The Hilton. So far, the best thing about it is the *free wireless network connection (*free as in it costs $10 per day). Other than that the room is really crappy. The curtains have big holes in them. The blanket is greasy. I wonder how often they wash those. I guess not often enough. Seriously, I've stayed in Super 8's that we're nicer than this.
Right beside me is a lamp with a broken light bulb socket and the bulb is dangling down past the shade. There are also two burn holes in the lamp shade. You'd think someone, I don't know...maybe a maid, would have noticed that?
I also called down to the front desk and asked for an internet connection kit and the person who answered asked, "Do you mean a wireless network kit?" I said yes and she snapped "I don't know," and hung up on me. It took me a minute to process just what the hell happened there. Then I called back and someone else answered, and said she'd send one up right away. About the first lady that answered, that was beyond horrible service. I don't care if she was having a bad day, someone needs to fire her ass.
To sum up my mini-review: Don't go there.
